- 100 variations of the Tim Hortons Hero Cups will be printed and distributed across the country to pay tribute to thousands of heroes across different lines of work and volunteer efforts
- Tim Hortons Hero Cups are expected to be in restaurants later this summer
Starting today, Tim Hortons is calling on Canadians to nominate the hard-working essential workers and other frontline heroes they know for a chance to be featured on limited-edition Tim Hortons Hero Cups that will be available across the country.
Guests can nominate adults who have been on the frontlines during the pandemic, including but not limited to health-care workers, first responders, truck drivers, retail staff, government workers, public transit staff, and anyone else who has worked to keep the country running in these difficult times.
The Tim Hortons Hero Cup designs feature large "Thank You" and "Merci" messages in place of the Tim Hortons logo and will have the names and professions of 100 heroes wrapping around the cup.
One of those already selected to be featured on a Tim Hortons Hero Cup is Debra Conway-Chung, a Registered Nurse Manager of Access and Flow at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto. During the pandemic, she has written inspirational messages on her masks to inspire patients and co-workers during challenging moments.
"Nursing is truly a calling and I don't feel like a hero. I truly love what I do," said Conway-Chung. "It's an amazing gesture Tim Hortons thought of and I will be nominating many people I know who have been selfless and instrumental throughout this pandemic."
To nominate someone for their chance to be featured on a Tim Hortons Hero Cup, visit herocups.timhortons.ca. Nominees will be contacted and asked to provide their consent before being considered for the inclusion of their name on a Tim Hortons Hero Cup. Nominations will be open until June 24. All selected heroes will also be featured on timhortons.ca.
